November 8th- 12th

Objectives: 

Math -                                                                                         
We will continue our unit
on Multiplication. We will
concentrate on using patterns
to solve multiplication
problems. We will
work on our 2, 5, 9, 10, 11
and 12 facts this week.
We will teach several
strategies that your students
will be able to use
to get to the solution.

Science -
We will focus on Natural
Resources for the next
couple of weeks. We will
use The Lorax by Dr.
Seuss to help the students
understand resources
and the three
types of resources.

Reading-
We will complete our
study of Inferencing. We
will work on making inferences
from our Time for
Kids magazine articles.
We will continue to focus
on the problem and solution
in stories. We will
discuss the rising action,
climax and falling action in
a story.

Writing-
We will be working on
strategies that will make
our writing come alive. We
will concentrate on using
dialogue in our writing.
Dialogue is an important
aspect of writing.

Social Studies-
We will discuss how we
adapt to the environment.
We will focus on how,
over time, people have
adapted to and modified
life in their environment.
